Is there a guy who has led the lead in assists multiple teams and won scoring title also multiple times? I can't remember off the top of my head. Harden is 3 time scoring champ and on pace to lead the league in assists second time.

@Mike Mike I see where your coming from Mike, and I agree with you that Harden isn't considered purely on scoring (not nearly as aggressive as H-Town Harden) . However, I think this is more so because of his teammates than his mindset to change his play style. Even in H-Town he averaged over 8 assists and looked to get his teammates easy open looks, while still needing to score 35+ ppg to have a chance to win. Also, he did lead the league in assists with Houston in 2017, with 11 apg! With Kyrie and KD on his team now, his assists will be inflated because these guys will hit those dimes he's passing!

    • Mike Mike

      Mike Mike

      11 hari yang lalu

@Levi I respect your opinion but as we can see now, Harden isn't focused on scoring. In Houston, he always had the ball and looks to score first. Now, he looks to get others involved first. Scoring is second.

The real ballhog rigth now is luka, do you even saw rockets avg 20 seconds to waste to find a open shot when harden playing? in fact him and trae will be avg 15 assist per night, if there teammate hit an open shot from their pass. all of harden assist on point and not stats padd, you are just hating and dont watch harden play at all, so what you to do russ take the ball? Russ cant even paid the opponent at all, baiting him to shoot always, but he still taking even though he bricking too much. At last but not the least harden never lost to mediocre team.

@EJ Brown Westbrook and harden the past couple of years. Easy too look unselfishwhen you can pass too Irving KD and a wide open joe Harris. The last couple of years in Houston he would just dribble dribble shoot or pass at the last second that’s why they keep loosing

@Lovechie4life when did I ever say his usage needs to be low you just putting words in my mouth. This whole convo was built on the notion that harden has been a ball hog the past couple of years. his usage rate shows it along with his playing style. He has got every good player he wanted at first traded again because he don’t play team ball he wanted to dribble dribble dribble. Getting assists in his case doesn’t change it same with Westbrook. If your too dumb to see that I’m gone.

He was always a good playmaker. Never a ball hog but he did want to score to win. Plus he never stat padded either, because he generates a good amount of offense and plus he is a good playmaker all around, plus because he’s in the paint a lot and is tall, gets a lot of rebounds.

@Westcoast Sports Unlimited and that’s the only thing Kyrie is good at : scoring. Without Kyrie, Cavs 2018 could still play good offense and defense in the offseason, with LeBron and Love as the only offensive threats. Kyrie sucks at defense and playmaking.

@Westcoast Sports Unlimited He is more than half though... Harden's the best handling 2 in the league.... In fact he's probably a top 3 ball handler in the game.... Yes Kyrie is #1 if we're talking flash and creativity.... One can make the case Harden uses his handle more effectively than Kyrie though.
